Although this campsite was not free nor secluded, the view of Rainier was large, with an epic path over the river.  However, Mowich Lake in Rainier National Park does have free camping.  The photo below contains the GPS coordinates of White River campground.  Check out the location on a map by downloading the Photo Investigator iOS App:

This beautiful, secluded campsite is one of my all-time favorites.  Just West of the North Cascades National Park, the site sits near a frigid river, pouring right from the Cascade Range.  If I can dip my naked ass into this icy stream, so can you!  A deep breath here tastes as good as a shot of artisanal añejo Tequila; refreshing and clean.  Check out the image's location on a map using the iOS Photo Investigator App:

Free Campsite in Northern Idaho

Kaniksu National Forest borders Canada, within Northeast Idaho.  The location of the image below is nearby the entrance road for the forest, which is on the East side of the 95 Highway.  The entrance road, Brush Lake Road, is a steep hill, beyond which is a large open area that many have used for camping.  I camped off the ride of the road at the GPS Coordinates in the image below.  Look around in the forest and find your own perfect spot!  Check out the image's location on a map using the iOS Photo Investigator App:
